My research interests broadly centre on designing interactive and computational systems to support humans in complex cognitive activities and information tasks, such as sensemaking, analytical reasoning, and decision-making. With a background in visual analytics, my research often combines human and machine intelligence. Recently, I'm interested in human-centred AI and I develop interactive visual interfaces to support human-AI/agent collaboration. A recurring theme throughout my research is provenance, i.e., the history of human/system activities, which I believe is a key to understanding human/system behaviours and augmenting human-AI collaboration.
